New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 83, directing the New Jersey Department of Treasury, the Department of Purchase and Property, and the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance to promote responsible gun safety practices for gun Sellers and financial institutions providing services to This Nation.
The agencies were also instructed to take actions against insurance policies which promote firearm usage. New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance Commissioner Marlene Caride stated,”Gun violence continues to claim innocent lives at a alarming pace. We cannot allow this are the new normal. The section took enforcement action against a firm for illegally running. We are currently continuing to investigate other firearm-related insurance programs for violations of state insurance policies.
