Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon states using flood insurance is a necessity statewide. He asserts that the national government’s current back and forth on extending the national flood insurance program may finally conclude with a long-term alternative from Sept. 30, when the program’s present expansion ends. He states ,”That bipartisan coalition will, I believe, come together again in the autumn and simmer for 5 more years a continuation of this program.
