With the 2019 hurricane season upon us, North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey encourages citizens to be prepared this year to avoid the discomfort that followed a season’s Hurricane Florence around the coast and mudflows in the western portion of the country. Causey is scheduling crisis relief town hall meetings across the state, to get this done. These meetings will talk about what to do prior to, during, and after the storm that taxpayers’ possessions are guarded and/or covered in case of mudslides or storm damage. If you are someone like hurricanes or mudflows, Department of Insurance representatives will be on hand to help with your queries and claims.
